Low Cost Virtual Private Servers ( VPS )
Ourweb.net offers low cost virtual private servers , otherwise known as a "VPS", "VDS", or "Virtual Dedicated Server"'. We offer DirectAdmin control panels with all of our virtual private servers.
A VPS gives you all the benefits of having your own dedicated server, but, you're still sharing the main server with other users, so it's still technically a shared hosting environment. One good server could hold 20 or so virtual servers, and all are allocated a certain amount of the servers resources.
Here's how is works!
Let's say we have one main computer which has 1TB of disc space, 5TB of Bandwidth, and 8GB of RAM. we could turn that one main server into 10-15 virtual private servers, and each would be allocated with a certain amount of disc space, bandwidth, and RAM.
One of the best reasons for having a VPS is that, let's say there are 20 web hosts on one server. all of them selling hosting to customers. One of them gets new client that overloads his server. You will no be effected by that overload because your server is setup completely separate from the others. The only thing you share with the other hosts is the network!
We host your VPS on Dual AMD Opteron, or Dual Intel Xeon processors with 15k RPM Drives in HARDWARE RAID 10 with a minimum of 12GB RAM. Our VPS packages are self-managed but, we do all basic software installs such as your control panel, and we also optimize the server for better security.
